I am new to the couponing world, but yesterday I did a little experiment with coupons and a store card. I purchased most of my items with a coupon. Some weren’t on sale, but I needed them and I did have a coupon. Other things I bought without coupon. My retail price was $117. After my store card the total was $95. Then I used 7 coupons and saved even more. I saved a total of $54, or 27%! I love it. That $54 amount for me is half a tank of gas, most of a phone or cable bill, all of an internet bill. I’ll have to see how much better I can do next time. By the way, hubby was with me and he likes the idea of coupons as well. It’s so much easier to try something new when you have someone who beleives in you. Thank you Carla and Amanda.
Love coupons! Have saved thousands of dollars over a few months. At CVS a few months ago bought over $350 of merchandise for under $50. Thanksgiving morning bought over $200 for approx. $28. Regularly save at least 50% and sometimes save much more.
Cute Hard Candy lip gloss ring or mini nail polish at Walmart for $1. Used the $1 off and Hard Candy product coupon from Dec All You and got a free stocking stuffer for my daughter!
To FM Humane Society about $20 worth of dog & cat treats! Thanks for your site…I love it!!
We received this in our email From Angie B
Thank you!!
I just dropped off all of the bathroom gift sets, flannel PJ’s, scarves, mittems, decks of cards, blankets, and odds & ends that I have collected all year long to the Senior Center for the Santa’s for Seniors program. Can’t wait to start this years pile! This past year I spent a total of $40 out of pocket and was able to donate $737.00 worth of products. I feel a challenge coming on for the new year!
Fargo Target has Royal Gold pretzels on same 2/5.00 instead of $2.99 and they also have peelie on it for $1.00 off 2. Got 2 bags for $4 instead of $6!
Went to CVS yesterday and got a portable tv for $29.99 on sale from $129 and used my $4 off $20 coupon I got for being a card member – printed out my card coupons at the store and got two pot o gold candy boxes too for $2.99 each – so for $32 total I got a tv and 2 boxes of candy. it felt great!!!
I love giving my free stuff to the food pantry!!!!!!!!!!!!! If theres ever rebates and i don’t personally use the item, away to the food pantry it goes. I donated Coke and Theraflu last week.
Just wanted to let everyone know that i have went to the sunmart in Fargo on South university twice and both times they doubled my printable our family coupons! Got tons of stuff the other day and my bill was 14.00!
I think you mean North, as their address is actually 724 N. University Dr. Fargo. I like using coupons there. The downside is it’s a lot smaller than others so less selections on certain stuff.
Sorry yes i meant to say north!
The West Fargo Sunmart doubles the Our Family coupons as well!
I’m so excited! I just got 28 crest toothpaste for free at cashwise and 12 tuna free also. Think i will donate some to my local food pantry. It feels so good to get these great deals and even better to donate some to help others!!
@ Holly- Thanks for the info. I would rather go to the Sunmart in West Fargo because they seem to have more of a selection.
I just got two 4-packs of Activia yogurt at Target for 19 cents each. Yay!
I found a good deal on a bunch of food and found a bunch of coupons for the food it worked great!!!
My poor old dog desperately needed a coat for the chilly mornings and nights. I went to PetSmart, where I found a coat originally marked $29.99 clearanced at $7.00. I had a frequent buyer coupon for $5.00. I walked out of PetSmart with a dapper coat for $2.13. He loves it. YAY COUPONS!!!!
Target has the Lysol automatic soap dispensers selling for the regular price of $9.99. If you use the $3 Target coupon and the $3 manufacturer coupon from the past couple of weeks, you can try these out for $3.99. The ones in Moorhead Target have the dispenser and 2 bottles of soap. Heck of a deal!
I cannot get my coupons to print anymore!! What am I doing wrong? Ive tried everything!
Mail call! Today I got my free pair of Bobs by Skechers. All I had to do was spend $30 on P&G for this great offer!
Buy $30 P&G where? Not aware this promo?
It ended on 4-30. I actually bought $40 worth of P&G at Sunmart because they were giving away a $10 gift card with a $40 P&G purchase at the same time. It had to be before coupons, so using coupons I was able to snag these for less than $20!
Nice!
I Agree – NICE!!
As you know, today was Old Navy’s $1 flip-flop sale. I recently downloaded their app, Snapappy, on my iPod touch. I won a $5 credit on any purchase at their store through the app. So, I got 5 pairs of flip-flops, used the coupon from the app, and walked away with 5 pairs of flip-flops for FREE!
Bought 102 candy bars and only had to pay sales tax. I feel pretty good, next goal-paper products(tp/paper towels), one step at a time.
Wow, how did you do it?
I had these coupons for a couple of months and I wasn’t to sure if my store was going to double them, because they said, “DND”. Sure enough, they doubled. It was a long wait to find the perfect deal though.
I thought you might be interested in hearing about my shopping trip to DollarTree in Fargo on their first day of accepting manufacturer coupons. I had never been to this store before, and I wasn’t able to use as many coupons as I had expected, because I found that a lot of their products are off-brand, and many brand name products were a smaller size than my coupons allowed. Here’s what I bought: (Sorry, I don’t keep track of which insert the coupons came from.)
Colgate toothpaste: Used 75 cent Q (I could only find one package that met the 4oz restriction on the coupon–most were 2.7oz)
Gain dryer sheets (20 sheets): Used $1 Q. Free!
Scotties facial tissues 75 count. Bought 4 boxes: Used two $1/2 printable Q’s.
Hefty One Zip quart-size bags (8 per box). Bought 2 boxes: Used $1/2 Q.
Bounty Basic single roll: Used $1 off any Q. Free!
Total would have been $9.63, but after coupons it came out to be $3.88.
Thanks Diana I was wondering about deals at Dollar Tree. Have lots of coupons you mentioned but i’m still stocked on those product. Great Haul!
Oops I mean “Diane”.

Target has the Brummel & Brown spread for $0.10!!! I just bought some at the Fargo Target tonight. So excited they actually had it in stock!!! It tastes great too… had never had it before, but it’s really good.
Cashwise had their Finish dishwasher detergent on sale with their coupon book 2 boxes for $5.88 last week. A coupon came out for $2.15/1 from the week of 1/6 (regional coupon but the star tribune had it—Fargo Forum did not) The cashwise coupon stated must buy 2, limit 1 coupon per transaction…and the MQ stated limit 2 per transactions. After store coupon and MQ and after tax, total OOP for 2 boxes was $2.02 in Fargo, and $1.98 in Moorhead. With the help of friendly staff eariler in the week I was able to get my 50 boxes with a pre-order….took 25 transactions to do so, but well worth it for $.79 per box before tax!!! Now my family wont have to buy any for a year!
THAT’S AWESOME!!! I’ve been slacking with my couponing and have recently moved but I’m slowly getting back into. We have very hard water and Finish works the best for us. I’m so jealous of your stock now!
This deal still available?
This isn’t really a “brag”, but I didn’t know where else to put it. Anyway, today I was excited to find a coupon in my mailbox for $10 off any $10 purchase at JCP on my birthday for being a JCP Rewards member!
Happy Birthday Also!
I got one of these from Kohls last week.. I love those “little” surprises!!
Nice! Happy Birthday!
Thank you!
