I am new to the couponing world, but yesterday I did a little experiment with coupons and a store card. I purchased most of my items with a coupon. Some weren’t on sale, but I needed them and I did have a coupon. Other things I bought without coupon. My retail price was $117. After my store card the total was $95. Then I used 7 coupons and saved even more. I saved a total of $54, or 27%! I love it. That $54 amount for me is half a tank of gas, most of a phone or cable bill, all of an internet bill. I’ll have to see how much better I can do next time. By the way, hubby was with me and he likes the idea of coupons as well. It’s so much easier to try something new when you have someone who beleives in you. Thank you Carla and Amanda.

  2. Love coupons! Have saved thousands of dollars over a few months. At CVS a few months ago bought over $350 of merchandise for under $50. Thanksgiving morning bought over $200 for approx. $28. Regularly save at least 50% and sometimes save much more.

I just dropped off all of the bathroom gift sets, flannel PJ’s, scarves, mittems, decks of cards, blankets, and odds & ends that I have collected all year long to the Senior Center for the Santa’s for Seniors program. Can’t wait to start this years pile! This past year I spent a total of $40 out of pocket and was able to donate $737.00 worth of products. I feel a challenge coming on for the new year!

I love giving my free stuff to the food pantry!!!!!!!!!!!!! If theres ever rebates and i don’t personally use the item, away to the food pantry it goes. I donated Coke and Theraflu last week.

  9. Just wanted to let everyone know that i have went to the sunmart in Fargo on South university twice and both times they doubled my printable our family coupons! Got tons of stuff the other day and my bill was 14.00!

I think you mean North, as their address is actually 724 N. University Dr. Fargo. I like using coupons there. The downside is it’s a lot smaller than others so less selections on certain stuff.

  11. I’m so excited! I just got 28 crest toothpaste for free at cashwise and 12 tuna free also. Think i will donate some to my local food pantry. It feels so good to get these great deals and even better to donate some to help others!!

  12. @ Holly- Thanks for the info. I would rather go to the Sunmart in West Fargo because they seem to have more of a selection.

My poor old dog desperately needed a coat for the chilly mornings and nights. I went to PetSmart, where I found a coat originally marked $29.99 clearanced at $7.00. I had a frequent buyer coupon for $5.00. I walked out of PetSmart with a dapper coat for $2.13. He loves it. YAY COUPONS!!!!

Target has the Lysol automatic soap dispensers selling for the regular price of $9.99. If you use the $3 Target coupon and the $3 manufacturer coupon from the past couple of weeks, you can try these out for $3.99. The ones in Moorhead Target have the dispenser and 2 bottles of soap. Heck of a deal!
