- Sunday Paper Inserts
- Each week Sunday papers across the country have inserts that contain a world of wonderful saving opportunities. These coupons can vary by region (Texas inserts may differ a little from the coupons found in Minnesota). Beyond the coupons being different from region each paper has a choice in the insert packages that they can purchase to have in their paper. So papers that have larger syndications tend to have all of the available coupons for that region where those with smaller audiences will purchase packages that do not contain all of the coupons.
- So what is the best paper for coupons for the NorthCentral Region?
- The Sunday Star Tribune does contain all of the available coupons for this region and costs $2.00 per paper. The Star Tribune also has a paper that is available on Saturdays that is called the early Sunday Edition. If The Star Tribune has extra inserts above what they need for the Sunday papers they will put the additional inserts in the Early Sunday Edition and this paper only costs $0.75.
- Both Carla and I purchase 5 Early Sunday Editions each. Until you get your organizing style down and are comfortable with couponing we suggest starting with maybe 2 or 3 papers a week.
- Are the printable coupons safe to print?
- We try very hard to only post links to coupons that are legit and are found either on coupon sites that are known to be safe or directly from the manufacturers web-site. If we find that a coupon is not backed by the manufacturer of a product the link will be pulled from the site immediately.
- Most printable coupons have a limit 2 prints per computer. After you have printed your coupon press the back arrow 2 or 3 times and it should print again. If you are on coupon web-sites you will have to go back to that sites main page and click on the coupons again to get your second print.
- In order for any of your printable coupons to print you will need to download the coupon printer. This is safe and does not take up much room on your computers memory.
- What are PDF coupons?
- PDF coupons are coupons that do not have a limit and you can print and use as many as you want.
- What is coupon fraud?
- Each coupon that you print is numbered. If you photocopy that coupon and use the coupon it is a federal offense and is as serious of an offense as counterfeiting money. We can not stress this enough, PHOTOCOPYING COUPONS IS FRAUD. It is actually easier to track an individual that commits coupon fraud because those numbers that are on those coupons can be traced to the computer that they were printed from.
- Can I print in black and white?
- I do and have never had an issue. Besides having the individual number on the coupon it also has a watermark that will be seen even if you print in black and white but if you try to photocopy the coupon the watermark will not appear on the copy of the coupon. If you run into issues with a cashier that does not want to take a black and white coupon you can point out the watermark.
I have been buying the star tribune for a while now and I have yet to see the Red Plum insert. I live in Fargo. How can I get one of these? Thank you!
we get them in the star tribune. My distributer is able to get them for us. I sell the paper for .75 ea. if u would like to buy them from me. I have others in fargo that do, and a friend who brings them with her each week to work with her, where they pick them up at. we get the red plum everytime. just let us know.
Dre, I live in Fargo too. As far as I know Red Plum doesn’t publish every week, and when it does, it only comes out on Sunday with the Star Tribune, not the early edition on Saturday. However the Saturday one does carry P&G, General Mill and SmartSource whenever they’re published. Check sundaycouponpreview dot com on Friday night or Saturday morning to see which ones get published that weekend. One weekend I saw that there’ll be no Red Plum, only SmartSource, I just buy all my papers on Saturday for $0.75 each, since there’s no point paying $2.00 the next day to get the same SS insert. Be aware the bottom line: Doesn’t matter what insert you’re expecting, CHECK TO SEE THE INSERTS ARE STILL IN THE PAPERS before you buy them!
Amanda, I’m curious that you say you get Red Plum everytime… you mean every weekend? Wow if that’s true I’ll start buying from you guys. Is $0.75 for the whole Sunday Star Tribune (that might come with SS, RP, GM and PG) or just for the RP? Love to use your service which will make my life much easier!

You can order them threw the Frame Shop at 701-672-1010. We sell them at $0.75 a newspaper. They come in on Monday mornings and you can pick them anytime Mon-Fri form 9-6 that works for you.
Is is OK to print a computer coupon, scan it and then print several copies?
Its not ok. It’s called Coupon Fraud. Each Coupon has a code in it, and it traces back to your computer. And there is also a different number on each coupon. The general is they allow (2) two prints per computer. It’s a serious crime to photo copy coupons.

Can the Star tribune be delivered to my home, Weds and Sundays addition to get the coupons?

The Star Tribune does have different at home delivery plans that you can choose to have delivered directly to your house. If you are interested in ordering the Sunday Tribune through Valley Deal Seekers for $1 per paper we do have a delivery service that brings the papers to Fargo for individuals to pick the papers up Monday through Friday. I recently went to a coupon help site and printed out items that I wanted to purchase with coupons. Both of the sites I checked out stated that the coupons were found in the Smart Source flyer from 5/15 but when I went to my SS flyer, none of those products had coupons. Is our SmartSource flyer different in the FM area? Am I missing something?
The Smart Source in the FM area is different then the Smart Source in the Star Tribune. The FM area has the small version, and not very many in there. If you purchase the Star Tribune you will find most of all the product and coupons. There is a slight variation on a few coupons but not too many.
